David James win MEC Rallysprint in TDP EVO

David James from Gorey, Wexford. He is well known for his rallying prowess in a Ford MKII Escort and in later years a Ford Focus WRC.

David chose to use the TDP EVO VI for the MEC Rallysprint in Mondello. He could have used his Focus WRC but the EVO was a better bet as it was well setup for Mondello. He was keen to keep the perpetual trophy which he won last year in the Focus WRC. Having only driven the EVO on 2 previous occasions he was still learning limits of the cars grip and handling. From the first run he started to pull a good lead on Liam Ryan in a EVO 9. After just 2 runs he was a comfortable 10 seconds ahead. He continued to drive well even though he stalled on the start on run 4 he still managed to win by 10 seconds.

David retained his Trophy and Team TDP were happy with another win for the EVO VI.

On the Day Team TDP were also testing the NEE MoTeC VCS. The new Video Capture system is a very good way to relive in car video for any mototsport discipline.
The on screen telemetry recorded in real time with the live footage adds a new level of information for the viewer and teams alike.

Here are the videos form the 5 Runs that won David and TDP the MEC Rallysprint 2009.
